Ristafallet Camping and Restaurant is situated next to the waterfall Ristafallet

This waterfall in the western part of Jämtland is listed as one of the most beautifull waterfalls in Sweden. You can see the waterfall from the campsite. The water falls 50 meters wide and 14 meters deep down along some rocks.

Depending on the season the amount of water that falls is from 100 to 400 m³ per second. The waterfall and the forest are very old and unique and therefore a protected nature reserve. An island devides the waterfall in two parts. On the island is a cave that can be visited in the winter when the waterfall is frozen. The cave is about 20 meters long and has two entrances.
